A FRONTLINE producer recently returned from a reporting trip to Syria for an upcoming project. Here are some photos he captured in Old Homs, showing the devastation of the civil war and the Assad regime’s siege.
The center of the city was completely destroyed; the other two-thirds of the city was not touched. Fighting still goes on in outlying areas, and an artillery shelling last week reportedly killed at least five people.
